On 29th January 2010 the online site of the Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera reported the list of the World’s Greenest Countries according to the Environment Performance Indicator (EPI) 2010, developed by an expert team of Yale and Columbia University. The countries which "mounted the podium" were Iceland, Switzerland and Costa Rica. It was amazing to see the result obtained by this Caribbean country that went past the 163 examined countries, thanks to its far-seeing environmental politicies implemented many years ago.
